From a very early age we were taught that recycling is considered “good” for the environment because it supposedly cuts down on waste, reduces pollution and saves resources. This mentality has led to the unchallenged acceptance of recycling even though there is plenty of evidence suggesting that the process may sometimes do more harm than good.
